Mahtomedi Boys Youth Lacrosse is governed by both a national body, USA Lacrosse, and a state body,  Homegrown Lacrosse. 

The follow equipment is required to play boys youth lacrosse:

• Lacrosse Stick
• Mouth Guard
• Helmet
• Gloves
• Elbow Pads
• Shoulder Pad - must be NOCSAE certified

• USA Lacrosse creates the age divisions that Mahtomedi Lacrosse Association abides by. The 2025 (for play between Sept 1, 2024 - Aug 31, 2025) age division summary is:

*If your player is within 3 months of the cutoff, a waiver may be obtained to play outside of DOB.  Contact Boys Youth Director to obtain a waiver.
