Tournaments

GNLL Summer Youth State Tournament:

Friday, July 26th - Sunday, July 28th @ Maple Grove High School

SPECIAL NOTE:

We'd like to schedule one "travel" tournament but would need players and parents to commit to ensure we have enough players before registering. Here are some of the options we're considering:

  • Wisco Disco Invitational - June 22-23; Wisconsin Dells, WI
  • Laxconsin Summer Kickoff - June 22-23; Franksville, WI
  • Pipe City Lacrosse Festival - July 13-14; Vernon Hills, IL
  • Madison Capital Classic - July 20-21; Madison, WI
  • The Showdown - July 20-21; Naperville, IL (Chicago)

If the team decides not to travel, other available tournaments that we could register for include:

  • Viking Goat - June 1-2; Farmington
  • Blue Ox - June 15-16; Blaine
  • Black and Blue - June 28-30; Woodbury
  • Lax by the Lake - June 28-30; Prior Lake
  • River Valley Rumble - June 7-9; Shakopee

**We'd like to do one tournament in addition to the State Tournament at the end of summer** We won't do every tournament on this list. We will work with families to pick the best tournament for the team (most girls can attend).

DEVELOPMENT RESOURCES

Recommended Stick Strength Activities

These activities are meant to help players develop the kind of strength needed for stick skills. These activities can be done alone and without a wall/bounce back. When you first start these activities, the goal is 10 complete with each hand. Once you've master that, challenge yourself by adding reps!
