Youth - Boys Lacrosse Info
Overview
Mahtomedi Boys Youth Lacrosse is governed by both a national body, USA Lacrosse, and a state body, Homegrown Lacrosse.
The follow equipment is required to play boys youth lacrosse:
- Lacrosse Stick
- Mouth Guard (color cannot be white)
- Helmet
- Gloves
- Elbow Pads
- Chest Pad - must be NOCSAE certified
- USA Lacrosse creates the age divisions. Mahtomedi Lacrosse Association, along with other local lacrosse associations, follows "play with your grade" which is supported and encouraged by the GNLL, our governing body. The 2026 (for play between Sept 1, 2025 - Aug 31, 2026) age division summary is:

| Kindergarten | Sept. 1, 2019- Aug. 31, 2020 | 6U |
*If your player's DOB does not align with their grade, please contact the Boys Youth Director to obtain a waiver.
